Right until its end, the film intercuts between scenes from these stories, and while we try to figure out the connection between them - other than the fact that they are all about romance in one form or other, and are from the same place - it leaves us with a heart-warmer of an ending.Ĭ/O Kaadhal is a remake of the 2018 Telugu film C/O Kancharapalem, and director Hemambar Jasti stays close - in fact, overly at most times - to the original. Then, there is Dhaadi (Vetri), who works in a liquor shop, who falls in love with Saleema (Mumtaz Sorcar), without even seeing her face! Meanwhile, 20-somethings Bhargavi (Ayra), a college student, and Joseph (Karthik Rathnam), a henchman for a local big shot, fall in love. Schoolkid Velu (Nishesh) has a crush over his classmate Sunitha (Shwetha), and tries to woo her in his own naive ways. A new officer, Radha (Sonia Giri), a 42-year-old Malayali widow, joins the office, and we see a tender relationship develop between her and Palani. It opens with shots of 49-year-old Palani (Deepan), a peon in a government office, going about his day. The film explores the concept of romance with episodes involving four sets of people of different age groups. C/O Kaadhal revolves around four love stories, and the way they come together makes for a moving experience.
